Welcome to Earthside
Welcome to the Earthside Journal a soft landing for your postpartum journey
Hi, I’m Nicola — Mother of four, postpartum guide, and founder of Earthside.
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you're somewhere on the winding path of early motherhood — maybe still aching from birth, maybe in the thick of feeding challenges or sleepless nights, maybe just craving something that feels steady and soft in a season that’s anything but.
This space — the Earthside Journal — is my way of extending a warm cup of tea to you through the screen. It’s where I’ll share gentle guidance, real stories, trusted tools, and the kinds of honest reflections I wish every mother had access to after crossing that threshold into life with a new baby.
Why I Started Earthside I created Earthside because I know how loud and lonely the postpartum space can feel. There are so many books, blogs, checklists — but what most of us need is a village. A place to be seen. Somewhere we don’t have to explain why we’re crying in the shower, or why we’re Googling “is it normal for my baby to…?” at 2 a.m.
I don’t have all the answers. But I believe in mothering the mother, in reclaiming rest and community, and in making sure no woman has to walk this sacred, messy season alone.
What to Expect Here In the coming weeks and months, I’ll be sharing journal entries on:
Breastfeeding wisdom (the real kind — not just the textbook kind) Navigating sleep, nourishment, and identity in the early weeks Mental health and the myth of the “bounce back” Voices from other mothers — because your story matters too Some entries will be practical, some tender, some raw. All of them will be rooted in compassion and connection.
For Today — Just This If you’re reading this while rocking a baby, or letting the laundry pile, or wondering if you’re doing enough — I see you.
You are enough.
You are not alone.
And this space is for you.
Welcome to Earthside. I’m so glad you’re here.
